Day 15 - Showers of Blessings

Accra - Today it rained all day.  It was beautiful.  You could see the palm trees soaking it up.  Butterflies are still flying even with the heavy drops coming down.  Birds were calling to each other all day as they waited out the rain.

We stayed in as it is difficult to travel in Accra even when it isn't raining.  It was good to take it easy for a change.

Tim actually had to go out to drive in the downpour.  The large generator out back was about to run out of fuel as were the two push mowers.  The compound here is quite large, a couple of acres.  Tim was thinking how nice it would be for Solomon and Phillip to have a riding mower to haul all the cut branches from trees and to mow.

The house is full tonight with Georgia Tech and Georgia State premed and med students heading up to serve at the hospital in Nalerigu.  There were even a couple of Midwesterners for me to talk with.

Rain came in abundance today.  This caused the trees to rejoice.

Stored missionary cars got little protection from the trees as the water rain though the compound like a river.

The big man in the center is Campus Minister at Shorter University in Rome, GA.  The students on this Georgia Baptist Collegiate Ministries team (used to be called BSU) are from Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Mercer, North Georgia, and the University of Georgia.  These med and pre-med students will be at the Baptist Hospital for three weeks.
